PROTAVIC INTERNATIONAL LAUNCHES SILVER NANOWIRES WITH THE FRENCH CEA
PROTAVIC was working to make adhesives and resins for the electronics industry more conductive through the use of metal nanowires. With the expertise of the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), the company made it happen. It is now possible to replace traditional transparent conductive materials, such as thin metal oxide layers, and meet the needs of new growth markets including photovoltaic cells, flexible displays, and touch screens. The use of nanomaterials in solution, and of metal nanowires in particular, is a promising alternative, opening the possibility of low cost printing methods on large surfaces.
